Green wall, a photo from Tel Aviv, Tel Aviv

Photographer's Note

Recently, one of Israel's known High-Teck company has endorsed a green-environment attitude and mounted a green wall on its east faзade.

Though it was a bit too closer range to take a photo with no disturbances, so added 3 WS's from diff. spots.

Location in Tel-Aviv: 32.0695, 34.7964 on the map.
All 4 pictures are RAW, F10.0, ISO100.

The green wall hangs a few dozen centimeters away from it, so that it shadows the building and cools it. It consists of 24 rows of planters that contain 30 different types of plants from three different groups - shrubs and small trees, shrubs and grasses. The vegetation is irrigated with water that is evaporated from the air conditioners in the building, and access to the wall is possible from narrow external corridors built on each floor.

Hello Ike,
nice the green wall but i cannot understand the white construction over it. Is very flat and does not create a 2D or 3D dimension.

Hello Ike,
Great photo of this green wall and the many white lines running in all directions in front of it are great too. I like the slight tilt you added and the fine light rendered the colours fine and natural.

Hello Ike,
These so-called living walls are becoming more and more popular with gardeners and environmentalists. The white and black grid lines add a touch of graphism and contrast nicely with the green planting. Well exposed with fine colours and clarity.

Hello Ike,
According to my humble opinion both pictures in the WS represent better the building and the 'green idea'.
May I assume that the white cover is intended to give climbing plants more possibilities for further growth?
It is certainly an excellent start to create greener cities.
Great that plants are irrigated with water that is evaporated from the air conditioners in the building.

what a great looking building, so unique, so future oriented with this natural design. glad you added the WS photos so we can see it from further out.

whats funny is, when I viewed this photo right away, without reading the note - i had NO idea this was a building.

It's an interesting concept, and it's pretty, too. Because of the height of the photo, the top has disappeared when I started writing this and I kind of like it, too. It looks more like a puzzle that way.

Hello Ike,
If this works as the architects and engineers intended, it's a smart way of saving energy which also makes the building more beautiful and certainly very original. It also gave you an opportunity for a very attractive photo of winding white lines with a mainly green background. It's a technically well managed photo and very neatly framed.

I am so pleased to see something like this, that not only beautifies but also responds to the natural environment and energy saving devices. Great presentation of this green building. Together with the workshop picture I have a good idea of the building. This kind of sustainable architecture becomes more and more popular.
On Dutch television I saw this week several examples of it. Very interesting and attractive.

Hello Ike, I love greenery so I find this idea fantastic. Thanks for the Workshop pictures, specially one with the view of the entire building. Without it is difficult to understand what we see. Stunning composition with not only the green wall but also this white irregular net on it. and how ecologically is all designed, with the water from air conditioners! Stunning picture. Something like this is possible only in a warm climate.

I like the repetition of patterns and shapes. The lighter toned fg structure adds graphism against the dark bg terraces. Good sharpness and framing. Tfs!

L'on a beaucoup parlй de ce principe йcologique (faзades vйgйtalisйes permettant de bйnйficier de nombreux avantages).
Eh bien, je pourrais dire que j'ai vu une vraie rйalisation.

A magnificent composition with this vegetal wall, where we can see a great variety of plants.
In Madrid, next to the Caixa Forum Museum there is a wall covered equally with plants, but this one does not have the metal lattice.
A beautiful color, which enhances the image.
Magnificent management of brightness and sharpness, to enjoy with the details.

Hello Ike Before opening the icon of this stunning picture, I thought for a second of a busy streets configuration seen from an aerial photo! Nevertheless the whole impression is quite mesmerizing because some growths encroach upon the 'white streets' as trees often do! Very good idea to have all this vegetation on the faзade of the building. A vertical park in the middle of the city !

Ike, good photo report highlighting that eco friendly project. This facade has been vegetalized, it gives an aesthetic look to the building. The air conditionners water the plants growing on this wall. It is an example to follow but it is of course more expensive than painting a wall. Fine colors, good image quality, instructive photo note, regards.
