When the time is right III, a photo from Esfahan, East

Photographer's Note

As I am on my way to Saudi Arabia in few hours, I thought I post a photo from Middle East region. I still didn't take one single photo here in Kuwait because I am waiting for temperatures that are anything but 50C/122F, therefore I will post one of my photos from last year trip to Iran.

This photo was taken at Esfahan Airport in the evening where I was rewarded with fantastic dramatic light and beautiful rainbow. The light on this photo was really amazing as it appeared directly above the mosque. This dramatic moment was the only time during my trip in Iran that I have experienced something else than just sun and blue sky. Those few colors on the left site are not lens flare but small piece of rainbow.

Really dramatic light here Lucie, and you've brought out the best in it with some subtle post-processing. I like how the bright patch of sky is directly above the dome of the mosque and the patch of rainbow is a nice touch.
Of course, it would have been better without all the cars and the checkerboard barriers, but there wasn't much you could have done about that!

Dommage pour les voitures dans le premier plan car cette image est de toute beautй !Les nuages menaзant ressemblent а une chappe de plomb colorйe au dessus de cette mosquйe ! Je me demande si un cadrage plus serrй n'aurait pas donnй une meilleur rйsultat !

Very nice and dramatic light here,
I likie the way the golden light covers the photo. I think it would be even nicer if it had something in the foreground like a disenrable object or even a person. I guess with the person it would have worked with a flash.

Wow, the lighting is really incredible, and for some reason it seem more significant than usual because of the fact that it happened over a mosque, so it's like a religous experience. This doesn't have quite the impact of the earlier post of the same subject, but maybe this is more interesting because you show the surrounding area. Great work, as usual!

I have encountered this kind of light once or twice in my life, or now that I remember three times, one in Morocco, on ın Istanbul and the last one in Dubai. Theye are very rare, and it is amazing that you were at an appropriate place in order to combine the mosque with it. A very precious picture.
You seem to have gone into a very hectic life in these places, Hope everything works well until you're back home.
