Photographer's Note

This huge vase is locally called Sangab. It mean a stone container made for reserving water. It was normally set at the entrance of mosques or other important buildings in the ancient Iran. I captured this Sangab in Qazvin one of the most historical and ancient cities in the northern part os Iran. People entering mosques wet their hands by the water reserved in this vase and in a way wash and clean their hands.
