Salt Hill, a photo from Azarbayjan-e Gharbi, West

Photographer's Note

I captured this image on my last visit to Ghapologh Salt Mine. This mine located about 180 Km. north-west of Oromiyeh city and 45 Km north of Khoy city. Combination of red Marls and grey Sands make very nice warm colours with each other.

I sharpened and saturated this image by software.

Rarely do you see such a colorful ground loss of salt! Great gray - red color excavation against blue sky. Good POV and composition, nicely framed photo.

Hello,

Incredible view with such unusual colors from the stone. It was worth to do a shot of it.
I also like the piece of shadow on the left side of the shot, giving a added variation.

Wow! I am speechless!! Never thought that something so bright red, of almost scarlet hue, could be somewhere a natural color of Earth's surface. Looks like a surface of another planet to me!

The tight frame is putting the hill in evidence. The point of view is showing the details and colours of the hill. The good luminosity is giving nice tints to the colours. Have a nice day.
