Photographer's Note
as you see , this "gate" belongs to a musque, aged atleast 200 years, near Kerman.
material : brick
structure : retaining walls & arcs
decorative details : Muqarnas ( or stalactites )
"Muqarnas"es used to fill out inside of a 3 dimentional carved surface , which in Islamic Architecture the architects made as the "ceiling"
of an element with "U" shape plan.
Muqarnas, is a caracteristic of Iran's Islamic Architecture, seen in most of thebeauriful ancient monuments of this type of Iran's architecture.
PS : yes, I agree with you about the lamp, but I liked this angle ( if I changed my posotion, it woldn't work) & maybe I wanted to show both "modernism" & custom, I don' know...

Hi, Charming. First of all, this is another nice informative shot. As the others, your architectural knowledge is noticable. About the photo, I would try another angle cutting off that lamp and the wires, but not that part of the abobada at the top. About the colors, I thnk that your scanning process are giving a green tone to the shot, something that can be easily corrected. I am posting workshop for you. Hope you like it.

Sujet intéressant. Superbe témoignage de l'histoire iraniene si mal connue en Europe.
Je suis d'accord avec Mathias, j'aurais tenté un autre angle en évitant le porche et la lampe dans l'angle supérieur gauche.

I like shot: Composition and the angle are very good(the lamp could be cloned out instead of changing angle which you shouldn;t....) the shade and light on the mosque, what is the texture seen on the sky? also what is the 'shade' on the wire is?
BTW I read your intro and I'd join you in your efforts to make this better in our world!!

Bravo

Another good shot, Fariba. The angle of the shot shows us the beauty of the "ceiling" very clearly. Well done. Thank you for the informative note.

Well done on the guidline notes (very informative).
Not sure whether the phone lines and lamp add to this image though.
