Photographer's Note
it's a part of an stone arc, belonging to a historical Atash-kade ( today Zoroastrian Temple ) near persepolis, named "Firooz Abad Atash-kade "
plz judge this one aestatically seriously.
the whole of the monument is built of stone & gypse, no bricks at all.

The third photo of archways today. Another of Russia and one in Jerusalem. I think the best of the three. Simple and effective.

Yes, simple and very effective, a very interesting composition. Theres a spiral effect, reminds me some of Escher works. I like the soft tones here. Well done, Fariba.

C'est très réussi Fariba ! Pas facile de concilier les zones d'ombre et de lumière. Les détails nous permettent de voir la manière dont le mur a été construit. Un superbe cliché !

A very good picture Fariba,
The sharpening is excellent, the angle is interesting.
I don't think these ruins belongs to the same edge that Persepolis (these ones seems more recent).
Did was this "castle" burried with time ? (we can see in the arch some windows with different height. They make me think that the ground has a higher level than at it's creation).

Pour ma part l'image est très riche en détails architecturaux notamment sur le montage des voûtes et l'assemblage de pierres.
Bravo personnellement cette image est instructive Fariba.

A real beauty, Fariba. Simply composed, and very effectively cropped and presented. Interesting details and textures on this construction that appears to be intricate and solid at the same time. Very well done.

Très belle prise de vue :o) J'aime beaucoup la sensation que quelque chose d'inimaginable nous attend au bout de la ruelle.
Bravo

The textures of the stones are nice but still so uniform that they don't take attention away from the geometric play of lines and surfaces. The large arc is beautiful and it "contains" the row of small arcs in a way that activates a series of basic formal concepts like large vs. small, one vs. many, serene vs. busy producing an intriguing image. The relation between 2D and 3D space is ambiguous and interesting in an almost M.C. Escheresque way (flat vs. deep). I would have liked to see a little more of the arc in the lower left corner and a little less of the wall to the right, and the overexposure has blown out the detail of the sunlit wall in the background, but I still like this imaginative photo of a great and strong architecture very much.

One look and we know that we don't build that way anymore! It always puzzles me how the ancient people build all the big structures and how much time/labour.
Good angle here that captures different textures of the walls, the shadow and the holes.

Il y a toujours beaucoup de difficulté à maîtriser la lumière forte du soleil dans ton pays, Fariba... Cepednant, il est très bien de voir cette partie non exposée au soleil. J'aime aussi l'alignement des petits arcs derrière. Bien vu, Fariba!

Beautiful composition of curved and stright lines, together with the fine stone texture - it all makes it so simple but impressive! I love it!

I prefer this aspect to your latest. The shape is more obscure yet detailed, and more interesting. I also like the detail in the simple bricks. Well illustrated.
