Photographer's Note
A view beside the north stairway of Apadana Palace.
1.Above-Left : Gate-House of Xerxes, called "Gateway to All Nations"
2.The colunms, right side : processional way to " Hall of 100 Columns" or "Throne Hall".
This way was for the court-men ( or noble persons)
of "Paars" & "Maad" nation.( 2 main iranian nations)
the way through where I standed, was for the court-men of other royal nations.
P.S.: 1.I'll continue the rest of the story of Persepolis tomorrow...
2.I wish you all could find the opportunity of visiting this heritage from the past oneday...

This place must be really great! Pure history! I like your shot, specially the composition and the good contrast between the deep blue sky and the stone's color. Perhaps some sharpenning and some noise reduction would be good. You are showing us a beautyfull Iran, Charmante, never imagined (for me, at least). Keep posting.

I like how this pic shows three features of Persepolis: the stairs, the columns and the gates. The big empty space in the middle recalls the quietness and solemnity of this place.
The colors are a bit odd, though!

Belle présentation Fariba Bon coup d'oeil.

Very nice picture which makes me to remember of Persian History I did many years ago. Recently, I read a very interesting book - "Creation" from Gore Vidal - which makes a revival from Dario and Xerxes time, and is worth to read. Congratulations for your photo. I dis a slight WS to reduce red tone and sharpen it a bit. Hope you like it

The motive is quite good. BUT the photo contains a lot of noise... Too much cyan, Where do the lines (horizontal and lateral) come from. Did you shoot it through a window ?
It could be a bit better cropped. Ive forgot to do that in my workshop, but I did make some changes.Ill be back tomorrow. I have used both my workshops for today...

Another picture of what I always pictured about Iran.
I wish you had a bigger picture of the sculptures of the men carved near the stairs.
By the way, my friend is called Xerxes.

This image has a slight blue cast that you may want to remove, but the balance and composition are sublime!
