Photographer's Note
Vakil Mosque
It is one of the most valuable monuments dating back to Zandieh period. It's construction was completed in 1773 AD. The said premises with an area of 3600 m2. have been furnished with large stones. Its nocturnal area or Shabestan (night prayer hall) with an area of 2700 m2. contains 48 similar tall pillars of stone with a beautiful ceiling and a marble altar that is considered to be one of the master pieces of the Zandieh era.
Masjed-e Vakil is especially famous for its large prayer hall (75 meters long, 36 meters wide) covered with small cupolas resting on forty-eight twisted columns cut out of one single block of stone.

Fantastic! The shot toward the light through the forest of pillars is wonderful. The detail on the pillars is amazing and definitely adds a texture to the shot. The choice of black & white is great too, emphasizing the shapes and forms. Superb!

Hi Nima, another great one. The tunnel effect ending in light is beautiful. Have you used a tripod on those takes? Take care, Florin

Hi Nima, this picture is beautiful, very nice composed and superb light control. I like how half of the carved texture on the columns is revealed in the light while the other half is enveloped in darkness. The choice of b&w mode is a nice touch. Well done!

Well taken Nima, making good use of the available light, and a good angle, to show us as many pillars as possible in a pleasing arrangement. Good note too.
