Photographer's Note
My last visited place in Cyprus and also in the 2017.
Hala Sultan Tekke or the Mosque of Umm Haram is a Muslim shrine on the west bank of Larnaca Salt Lake. Umm Haram (Turkish: Hala Sultan) was the wife of Ubada bin al-Samit, a companion of the Prophet Muhammed.
Hala Sultan Tekke complex is composed of a mosque, mausoleum, minaret, cemetery, and living quarters for men and women. The term tekke (convent) applies to a building designed specifically for gatherings of a Sufi brotherhood, or tariqa, and may have referred to an earlier feature of the location. The present-day complex, open to all and not belonging to a single religious movement, lies in a serene setting on the shores of the Larnaca Salt Lake, which appears to be an important site also in prehistory. Hala Sultan Tekke is a listed Ancient Monument.
It was already near the sunset time, so it was rather dark and also it was the only evening with some clouds. After visiting the mosque we went to give away the rented car at the airport. How happy was my personal driver that all went OK after driving on the left :).
I can summarize the past year. It was for me personally a good year. I was healthy and fit enough to travel. I visited two new countries, Albania and Cyprus, they were the numbers 75 and 76. By planes, trains and buses I traveled around 40 000 km. I had wonderful meeting with Christiane, Gigi, Veronique and Isabel (all in French, haha).
How will be the new year? I have some plans...

Hello Malgo,
The mosque is very nicely situated, surrounded by many trees and hardly any other buildings. The light and the dark clouds were perfect for a photo and the colours are quite intense (maybe partly with your assistance).
So what are your plans, apart from Colombia and New Zeeland? ;-). You still have to travel a lot more to reach my number of about 95. ;-)
Kind regards,
Gert

Dear Małgorzata!
Piękny meczet, wspaniałą kopuła, łądny widok, z daleka, dużo zieleni, ładny poziom, niskim panoraiczny kadr. Kosz na śmieci z prawej zmieścił się w kadrze i dobrze.
Well done!
PS. A Zamek Królewski obfoliowany, fasada wiezy zegarowej w remoncie, nie udało mi się go sfotografować tak, jak bym chciała.

Hello Malgo,
The threatening sky makes a good foil for the golden tones of the mosque. I like the choice of the panoramic format and the use of the curved path as a lead-line.
I look forward to the results of your next adventures. I also have some travel plans for 2018, I will just have to hope they come to fruition.

Hello Malgo, the time of day was actually in your favour as it adds a certain mood to the scene.
An excellent composition with the path leading us right through the picture.
Once again, your notes add to our knowledge and tell us much of what we see.
Regards Jean.

Troche basniowo wyglada ten meczet, ladna grupa skladajaca sie z meczetu i roznorodnych drzew, rozumiem ze to jedno z koncowych zdjec w 2017, zycze, zeby w przyszlym roku tez bylo tyle pieknych zdjec

Hi Malgo,
Thick clouds offer lovely contrasty background. Fairly simple mosque catches attention well. I like how the path leads from the lower right corner towards the main subject.

Hi Malgorzata,
The trees are framing well the Mosque. The point of view is showing the details of the Mosque. The cloudy sky is giving a good contrast to the colors of the picture. Have a nice day.

Hi Malgorzata
A lovely piece of architecture as seen from this viewpoint - the dome & minaret draw the eye, both appealing to the soul and a treat for the eyes. Great composition, gorgeous colours in low warm light and interplay of dark grey make this shot a very graceful. Superb shot,
Best regards

Hello Malgo,
Excellent photo of this mosque and the many different kinds of trees surrounding it. The mosque itself is lit so beautifully by a warm light, which makes it stand out so well from the dark clouds in the background.

Hello Malgo
Saturation pushed all the way up it seems and a bit too grainy as well, perhaps, but still I like it. The imperfections add a sense of mystery to the scene, which goes rather well with the topic.
Cheers

Ciao Malgo
Saluti
Carlo

Czesc Malgosiu!
I like the sweeping curve of the pathway emanating from the bottom right corner. It adds lead in lines and perspective. The mosque makes a good focal point. Superb sharpness & colour. Tfs!

Czesc Malgorzata,
Pozdrawiam serdecznie,
M
