Photographer's Note
Like a child by the seashore
Building castles in the sand
Foolish dreams I have dreamed
Day by day
Leaving God out completely
Till the day my castles grand
Fell apart in the tide and swept away
Castles built upon the sand
Though they seem to be so grand
Will surely melt away
For in life’s raging storm they cannot stand...

...taken at the foinikoudes beach...

The contemplating kid is justifiably the theme of the photograph. The several lines of waves that glimmer in the light as it reaches the foot of the boy is very touching and symbolic. The pier in the distance with a number of people, forms a contrasting backdrop to the lone figure standing on the long shoreline.
The sharpnes and contrast of the photograph is excellent.
Thanks for sharing.

Hi Korkut
Another very nice and moody portrait from you. You captured the small boy reflecting and observing the waterline beautifully. The black and white aproach suits this subject wonderfully.

Hi Korkut,
It looks like a scene from a movie, more particularly evoking "Les 400 Coups", the first flick from Truffaut, made in the late 50's.
Actually, I think that the little fellow looks like the kid in the movie. The film also end up on a beach scene, that's why I see so many visual parallels.
I think it's a great shot, I like the mood and the attitude of the boy, like if he was discovering the sea for the first time.
Cheers!
André
