Photographer's Note

Donaldson's College probably the first iconic building you will notice on the way from Edinburgh Airport to the city centre. Donaldson's School for the Deaf is Scotlands national school for the deaf students. This eye-catching building was designed by Edinburgh's foremost architect William Playfair in the 1850s. Staff and pupils are today preparing to leave as it closes its doors to make way for luxury flats.
