Photographer's Note
no educational notes today...I hear Francis can help me out here... "Fraaaaanciiiis..."
edit: My knight with shining lyrics has delivered the goods...cheers Francis!
You say you love me
And you're thinkin' of me,
But you know you could be wrong.
You say you told me
That you wanna hold me,
But you know you're not that strong.
I just can't do what I done before,
I just can't beg you any more.
I'm gonna let you pass
And I'll go last.
Then time will tell just who fell
And who's been left behind,
When you go your way and I go mine.
(Bob Dylan)

Hi Kajal,
My first instinct to look at this pic was cause of its caption. I consider this as a cinematic frame...very poignant and indeed a decisive moment.

Hi Kajal,
you achieved a strong mood here... I like the point of view and the "play" with the light...
Like mentionned by Sarika, it could be a scene of a movie.

Yes I can and here goes, I want you to slap these lyrics on your Note space, ok, cos they're perfect!
From the great Bob Dylan, and here goes:
You say you love me
And you're thinkin' of me,
But you know you could be wrong.
You say you told me
That you wanna hold me,
But you know you're not that strong.
I just can't do what I done before,
I just can't beg you any more.
I'm gonna let you pass
And I'll go last.
Then time will tell just who fell
And who's been left behind,
When you go your way and I go mine.
(Bob Dylan)

So was this in the Orange Tree after I'd left. Nicely handled light, and also with something of the Sarolta about it, especially the one I was talking about.
Well done Francis, with the lyrics.

Hi Kajal! Oh I so much love that color! The warmth of the wood! The smell of wood! The beauty of wood. Yes, I am a wood fan! I wanted to be, when I was young, a cabinetmaker. My father looked at me and laughed. That was kind of insulting! Ah! that old mentality, women don't work with tools! ;) Well, I wanted to be so many things anyway! About your photo, it reminds me this one of Sarolta. Maybe because of the hue. But also the lines that bring the eyes to the central point. Good light. And a very beautiful black frame! ;)

hey...
a brilliant decisive moment!
although the colours are warm, the composition of diagonal lines makes it a very dramatic scene.
and thanks for the dylan!

Hi Kajal. I was 90% through a longish crit the other day when the bloody computer got a stone in its shoe and had to sit down. Lost the lot. Anyway, I've forgotten what percipient things I had typed, but no doubt all the others have said them now! Suffice to say, it's a very dynamic shot that conjures up all sorts of thoughts, and one wonders what happened a moment before, and the moment after.

Andrew

Kaj, I think even Francis, our Homer of TE, would agree that not commenting on this rich shot is the order of the day. Fantastic work, the feeling is too poignant to describe--the shot says it all. The pov is original and gripping, for who of us didn't feel this way at one point in our lives? A gorgeous work of art. The woman's expression, her motionless hand vis a vis the man's hurried steps faded into blur is poetry in itself.
Take care,
sasa

You have had several outstanding shots since I last visited you. This is one of them. This kind of shots need patience, lightning speed, and a bit of luck. But you have done very well here. Good use of motion blur...the color is glowing. Very nice.

This lyric added second dimension to this picture. Although the picture wasn’t sad to me, with this note started to be.
Great job.

...have not been arround in TE for a while and i really missed some beautiful picture like this one , i must say.
Well I liked everything here the tone , warmth, composition everything here.. just to point out a small detail like the glass window or the door at the top.. I feel it is perfectly placed... gradual change of color of the stair case and one person coming in other going somewhere else.. everything is perfectly placed.. A very very nice one..
Well here is something which i think could have been better.. just a second later if it was shoot , i feel you should have got only the leg of the person who is going out of the frame..and you could have got the lady little more in.... but that depends , you dont know what will happen next, it just a call of an opportunity.
nice , really nice.
PS. You turned off the points system.. good thing.. I did the same sometimes back, but you know what, turning off the system only hide the points from YOUR end, everybody can see whats your point and how much point you got for induvidual photographs except YOU. hehehe.. I think the system is not full proof.. just getting a self-satisfaction, nothing else... I can see at this moment you have got 2523 points total and this particular picture got 30 including mine.hehehe...

Ok, nobody (including you) is going to believe me, but I don't care. Moving from "golden hour" to this photo, I was saying to myself that there is something about your gallery that reminds of Bob Dylan, and I picked this photo from the thumbnail to talk about it, and BAM the coincidence! I hadn't read the title yet but here it is, a quotation of Master Bob (from another master at another level, Francis). But as I'm damned lazy to think about something else to say, I'll just stick to what I wanted to say. In fact the reason there is something that reminds me of Dylan in your gallery is the alternance of really great, unique, photographs and snaps like "golden hour" (which pretty much s.... damn I still can't be that vulgare ;-)), just like Dylan alternated the most fantastic songs that can't be heard anywhere else, with some really, really bad ones. Ok, lots of people won't agree with what I said about Dylan nor about the comparaison with your work, and that's good news, haha.
Ok both of you tell nice stories in what you create (photos or songs). "Everybody agrees here??" (YEAH answers the crowd in a total delirium...)
Now tell me, how long have you been sitting in the stairs with your camera ready? This is the part where I'm gonna learn from you, so let's be serious...
And give me some news about the guy, it seems he's holding his heart like it just broke down in pieces and that he's going to the kitchen to glue the pieces...
Well that's it, time for me to go my way...
Anyway,
Very nice photo,
Cheers Bob, I mean Kajal (oups...)
Vincent
