Photographer's Note
Three shots from the beach at Cadgwith.
There is no harbour as such, so the fishing boats have to come up onto the beach out of the water and be made secure.
The tractor comes to the water's edge and tows the boat out of the water. Two w/s shots show part of the process.
Cadgwith is a tiny fishing village, located on the eastern side of the Lizard Peninsula, Cornwall.
A grey sky unfortunately, but it brightened up later.
Thanks for your comments.

Hello Jean,
Besides the action on shore, the mighty rocks is a formidouble earth formation, shown here with great clarity of each layer.
I'd take a close range or extended zoom picture, to show the rocks, only rocks. my humble opinion.
Good afternoon,
Ike

Hello Jean,
This is an interesting look at a procedure I suppose has been going on for a long time, since long before the arrival of tractors when the boats had to be hauled onto the shore by the men of the village. But doesn't the boat get damaged by being dragged across the rocks every day? Apart from the interesting work being done, the shapes and colours of the nicely layered steep rock are very attractive, as usual best seen in an enlarged view. Both WS are perfect complements.
Kind regards,
Gert

Hello Jean,
A great photo while the boat was being pulled ashore by the tractor. The cliffs make a wonderful and impressive background and also the green rocks at right are a nice inclusion.

Hello Jean,
Fishing boats and their catches must be so much the tradition of these small fishing villages. This scene is certainly worthy of your time and attention and how the two men interact.
I love how the tractor and the boat are set against the rugged, sea-worn rocks.
If you don't mind, I would suggest that if you crop the f/g, up to the line of the seaweed, the whole operation comes much closer, whilst the rocks look even more formidable.
The w/s give a good prelude to the action.
Have a good day,
Bev :-)

Hi Jean,
The main photo is the best. You have less sky here and the tractor and the boat add some life and color to the scene. We can also see a very attractive texture of the rocks at the back.
Excellent final effect,

Hi Jean,
Beautiful corner of a beach which ends suddenly on those mighty rocks. Very nice daily life scene where both the boa and the tractor look very clean. Seaweed adds nice green tones.

Hello Jean,
I presume the tractor is ready on the beach at the time the fishing boats return so that the boats can be quickly pulled onto dry land.
Did the fishermen also have a tractor available in earlier times or were the boats pulled ashore with horses?
I'd expect that the fishermen would move to a place where there is a harbour. Presumably there are reasons not to do that.
Don't these boats need to be repaired much faster?
Very interesting report.
Best regards, Paul

Hello Jean
A good series of shot illustrating the natural impromptu harbour. The forklift is an ideal way to lift the boat clear of the water and keep your shoes dry! Tfs!

jean
a special series showing the whole processo of the trator taking the boat out of the sea. curious as the boat isn't damaged by the rocks.
I remember images of the past where bulls were used to take boats off the sea, nice image,
take care
