Photographer's Note
Good Morning Everyone,
My last photograph showed the ancient packhorse bridge from the path, the view that is most popular because it is part of the walking route around the area.
This view is taken from the reverse side.
It shows not only the wonky bridge but also, a view of the old cottage, which would once have been a weaver's cottage. Wycoller was important for home weaving, before the mills were established.
(I lightened the area, slightly, under the far arch, to help determine the stonework.)
This is my favourite view because of the winter tree; I like foreground features and winter trees!
See the workshop for a slightly more distant view.
Thank you for your interest, Bev :-).
I feel guilty showing pleasant sites, like this, when the news is so full of horror but, we are still raising money for Ukraine and two of our villagers are out in Poland at the moment, helping to spread necessary goods and linking displaced Ukrainians with possible homes back in our area.

Hi Bev,two beautiful photos of this bridge and of the "historic" house which fortunately is still inhabited and well preserved in its original style. A passage between winter and spring, with the signals given by the yellow daffodils in the WS, excellent quality, especially in terms of perspective and colors. Have a nice day and thanks,Luciano

The low side light was wonderful, Beverley.
A much more "elaborated" sight of this spot. naked trees animate the picture, I can only imagine birds singing and the water mild current flow.
Wish you a nice weekend,
Ike

Hi Bev,
Very nice framing with the tree branches on both sides. Not an easy back light but the effect is fantastic. I like how the bottom part of the bridge are well lit and contrast with the darker areas. Very well selected point of view. I can appreciate it better by comparing with the workshop. The complementary photo has more context but the bridge gets a bit lost. Here the effect is better pronounced.
Excellent work,
M

Hello Bev,
It's easy to feel a bad conscience for spending time on entertainment or hobbies in these horrible days. But spending our days worrying about the war doesn't help anyone. Taking new photos and watching others' on TE is one of my attempts to stay calm.
Both of these photos combine several beautiful features, and no doubt the main one is the best composed. It is well framed by trees, the bridge is placed on a strong diagonal and we get a good view of the old building. The warm light gives the picture a beautiful golden glow.
Kind regards,
Gert

Hi Bev,
The trees are framing well the subject. The point of view is showing the details of the bridge and of the houses. The light is giving nice tints to the colors. Have a nice dya.

Hello Beverley, from this point of view the bridge looks even more irregular, the two arches being far from symmetrical. I like the shadow that they present too.
The light was perfect for capturing the details of the colours and textures.
The two mature trees frame the scene perfectly.
Kind regards, Jean.

This landscape with bridge is equally good if not better than the previous upload. Good colour, sharpness and lighting with punchy contrasts. Tfs!

Hello Beverley,
The photo includes both the old bridge and the charming cottages so well here and in a lovely spring sunlight from the side. The trees on both sides of the water create a wonderful, natural frame as well.

Hello Bev, It looks also beautiful on the other side. But here we can see also delightful yellow daffodils. I like the moss on the stones and trees.

Hi Bev,
A lovely scene in clear equinoctial light. The green colours in the moss and the grass are particularly attractive. The daffodils are a nice touch too. It's an unusual bridge with that wonky-looking arch, but it has stood the test of time.

Hello Beverley,
I understand your feelings towards the war so close by and life with us that still goes on with pleasant things.
On the other hand, I cannot continue to show beautiful views of Ukraine on TE where I then got the feeling that I was exploiting a miserable situation.
I think we should provide the help to Ukrainians where possible. But beyond that I don't know.
I have the impression that the daffodils in the UK also bloom earlier than other years.
Your main photo, even more than the one in the WS, shows a very pretty and sunny spring scenery.
Especially the colour of the moss on the tree trunk and on the bridge make the picture eye-catching.
Nicely composed and framed. Good depth of field and perfect sharpness.
Best regards, Paul

Dear Beverley,
This photo and your previous one portrays an idyllic scene, a true paradise on Earth. At the same time both of them make me think of the 'Shire' if you know what I mean. :)
Best Wishes,
Gy.
