Good Morning Everyone,

I have been away, at my daughter's for Christmas, so have a lot of catching up to do but back in time for the New Year.

My husband and I had a wonderful time. Christmas is very much a family time. I hope you all had a happy Christmas, too, and wish you all a peaceful and prosperous New Year.

My archive photograph was taken at Beadnell, a beautiful place, full of happy memories and the only place on the east coast of England, where the sun sets over the sea.

It is full of symbolism, the sun is setting on one year and will be awakening on a new one. Let's hope 2020 can be more peaceful, with everyone personally caring for our fragile planet - kind regards, Bev :-)

Hello Bev,
Your absence has been noted, but it's nice to see it was only temporary. What a very atmospheric photo, and it has the advantage that we can't tell for sure if the sun is setting or rising. It could hardly be more symbolically suitable for today. It is also very well exposed. You captured the fine reflections in the wet sand perfectly.
I wish you and all those close to you a good (better?) 2020.

HI Bev,the most classic metaphor to mark the end of 2019 with its last sunset. Classic but spectacular, both the colors and the landscape are truly magnificent. A fantastic sunset with the reversed c shaped bay and its repetitive waves adding some fg charm. Nice reflections in the wet sand too with excellent sharpness. A safe and Happy New Year to you. Maybe you will get to Jordan in 2020 or some other exotic location in the region?

A beautiful sunset photo, very suitable for the last of the year, or the decade this time of course. I really like the contrast of the red and orange colours in the sky and the dark beach in front of them. Have a wonderful New Year's Eve.

Hello Beverley, a very beautiful sunset. I had never thought about the sun setting in the east over the sea as we see here. How timely of you to capture it.
The colours are amazing, and I like how some of the colour are reflected across the beach.

The wideness of the area is giving deoth to the composition. The point of vierw is showing the details of the beach and of the hills. The sunset is giving nice colors to the sky. Have a nice day.

I liked the effects of the golden light in the humid sand. the strong colors of the sky created a special moment. I presume colorful sunsets are rare in the island. here we have them almost every day.
