3 Bridges, a photo from West Lothian, Scotland

Photographer's Note

Taken from a small layby / viewpoint a couple of miles west of the Forth / Queensferry bridges. I like the contrast between the ultra modern Queensferry Crossing and the beautiful old Forth rail Bridge. Almost hidden between can be seen the tower of the Forth Road bridge, now only used for public service vehicles.
It seems ironic to me that the Rail Bridge, built nearly 130 years ago is still going strong, whilst the original Road Bridge, built only in the mid 1960's is considered unsafe for large numbers of vehicles. I wonder how long the new bridge will last? There was some form of repair work being undertaken when we were there, and the bridge only opened a year ago.

Hello Keith,
Indeed thius is a new bridge, in late 10/2016 when visited Edinburgh we past by the older Forth Road bridge and only saw this from the other side.
Well cropped in panorama format, managed to catch almost full view of.
Edinburgh has lot's to offer for intriguing photography.

La question est posйe, et votre note est trиs intйressante а propos de la rйsistance des ouvrages contemporains.
Certes, ils sont beaux et s'intиgrent dans le paysage d'une belle faзon, mais l'on peut regretter la qualitй de fabrication par rapport aux anciennes rйalisations.
