Photographer's Note

The Titanic building Belfast opened its doors in March 2012 as a visitor attraction in what is now known as the Titanic Quarter in the East of the city. Built in the heart of the very shipyard where the famous ship was designed,built and launched to replicate Belfasts rich maritime history. Other famous vessels built on this same site include RMS Olympic,sister ship to the Titanic and the SS Canberra.The Titanic building and visitor attraction is part of one of the largest waterfront regeneration developments in Europe.

Hi Roger,
Big smiley head on me looking at this, without doubt one of the most interesting buildings on this island. I have not had the pleasure of going inside yet, but I have been in Belfast three times since it opened, and each time was passing by, craning my neck to look better and being very upset that I did not have time to stop for a spot of shooting.

Stunning building, its design is in my opinion just wonderful. You got a great sense of shape light and texture on this capture which looks brilliant. Even the colour of the glass evokes thoughts of the sea.

Out of interest, did you go inside? What did you think?

A beautiful piece of artistic-mind architecture's.
Position from where taken is excelent.
It's carved walls fabulousely shown under the fine daylight.
An intriguing edifice.
Wonder why did not see you so long on TE?

Welcome back! Thought you had left us! Nice shot to come back with - this is the kind of building I would love to take shots of. It looks like some underground crystal formation has exploded upwards reaching for the sky. Nice sharp, clear shot.

what a fantastic looking building this is!
Oh what I'd give to hunt this puppy down and spend an hour or so just photographing the outside in many many abstract forms.

you had a great day to shoot this one too, with the clouds, light, and i like your pulled back pov.

Hello Arthur,
this is a fascinating building and your point of view shows us clearly it's special character as well as the impact it has on the area where it is located. It surely comprises many shapes and pattens that refer to vessels and to the sea and wind. You've achieved great depth and clarity. The fluffy cloud just above the building is a nice contrasting element. The light coming from an inconvenient angle has been managed effectively. Congratulations and thank you!

Hi Arthur,
How did I miss this one? It looks like the Belfast's Titanic Building is in much greater taste than Branson's. Interesting architecture shown from a good POV. TFS.
