Photographer's Note
Well not quite…………in truth an old wrecked fishing boat and some sea kale bathed in the light of dawn on the shingle beach at Dungeness on Romney Marsh in Kent, England.

Hello Brian
A delightful work with light & with layers! The sea kale in the FG, then the net & the boat beyond that creates three beautiful objects working as layers. Early morning light on the boat is delicious! Excellent indeed!

Ciao Brian
Eccellente!
Ciao e buona giornata

Hello Brian,
I have to say Dungeness is not one of my favourite places in the UK, on the whole I find it rather bleak and featureless. But, I am happy to say I find this composition most attractive; perfectly framed and ideally suited to the vertical format. The sea kale makes a good foil for the predominant brown-orange tones. The lighting is very seductive and the tones and textures beautifully rendered. Thanks for sharing.

Hello Brian!
This old boat is an excellent object. You took this photo in a perfect way.
Fantastic, professional composition and using a wide angle lens is a great idea.
The foreshortening gives a charm!
Warm regards, Leshek

Hello Brian, you`ve made excellent use of the morning light that is striking along the side of the wrecked boat. With the flowering sea kale adding FG interest this is such a lovely shot, the colour and clarity are first rate.
Have a good day,

hi brian,
well, you have finally spotted noah's ark, though it was expected to be located in middle east :)
soft lateral light gives warm colors. the cabbages add charm and perspective. vertical framing works well.

Hello Brian
I too, have often found images I've taken on travel websites, so I empathise. Good composition & sharpness with superb warm cold colour contrasts between the blue sky and reddish yellow tints in the boat and soil. Excellent sharpness and perspective. Tfs!

Bonjour
une superbe capture de ce bateau qui a un certain charme et qui se trouve sur le rivage et les filets que l'on aperçoit à côté
un beau premier plan attire notre regard
( effectivement comment faire pour éviter que nos photos soient copiées?)...

Hi Brian,
Your fabulous picture shows a lonely wrecked boat on the beach. The color of dawn is gorgeous. The green sea kale adds more interest to the photo.

beautifully composed. POV is chosen nicely. Natural colours. Like the side orange light on the boat. You capture the time superbly... The bushes and the net at foreground nicely boost the depth. Excellent work. Tfs.

Hello Brian
"The time has come," the Walrus said,
"To talk of many things:
Of shoes--and ships--and sealing-wax--
Of cabbages--and kings--
And why the sea is boiling hot--
And whether pigs have wings."
Well, if this is a cruiser I truly would believe pigs could fly! The day I get out of bed to capture dawn's light they well could be! Dedication to your art here Brian!
Nicely composed and the warmth of the early dawn light is evident in the tones of the leaves here.
You could have referenced Rod Stewart here too... no chance of an Atlantic Crossing in that vessel though!

Another "instant classic" from the time capturer! Impossible to go wrong when a shipwreck is in the photo.

Hi Brian
you know i love old relics and beat up cars/trucks/planes/boats...but this guy is just a little too perfect still :)
I'd want to break a large whole in the hull to give it a bit more 'used' look!
but the soft light, the pov pointing upwards, the pebbles and the netting make this a fine beach shot.
I'm having the urge to push that boat over onto its side
haha
enjoy your day

Dear Brian
Oooh I like your succulents here :) I have something like this in my garden, although they're a lighter green.
But the star of the show here is this old wreck. What an intriguing and attractive subject! Your low pov and vertical frame work like a treat here, turning the photo from being a very interesting And pretty snapshot into a work if fine art. It's unique and refreshingly beautiful.
Thanks for sharing
Lisa
