Photographer's Note
Good Morning Everyone,
This shot was taken the same early morning as my two previous shots, but occured before the mist became much denser.
This house, although quite close to the lane, has enviable views across the fields. It is quite Victorian, in style but has recently been given the addition of a conservatory, obviously to take advantage of those views. This snowy morning, its views would have been magical!
From a very cold Trawden, I wish you a lovely day, Bev :-)

Hi Bev,
You have obviously had a lot more snow last month than we did: we had a little around about Christmas but really nothing much at all since then. Still, it's getting colder here again just now so, as they say in Scotland (and other parts too), "Ne'er cast a clout till May be out.".
A well composed shot of a fine view from this nice house to which a conservatory has been added in a sympathetic manner. I really like how the near building is clear and its colours well saturated whereas the distant view is much less saturated, perhaps because of the mist or snow but also because of the distance. Actually, did you know that Leonardo was one of the first to recognise "aerial perspective" - the colours in distant objects appearing to be less saturated than those of close objects? Have a look at "Mona Lisa" and you will see that the distant hills and buildings are much less colour saturated than the young lady herself.
Anyway, I digress and ramble as usual. A fine photograph with lovely colours, perfect exposure and excellent sharpness!
Lovely!
Kind Regards,
John.

Hi Beverley,
The snowy landscape is splendid. The composition is very clever, with this house and the village below. I appreciate the clarity and depth. Excellent quality. Bravo.

Bonjour Beverly
J'aime bien la position de la maison dans l'image. On dirait que le paysage se découvre pour elle comme pour le photographe. La neige adoucit le tout.
Amicalement

Hi Bev,
This would make a nice Christmas card! Good diffused light with superb shadow details & well composed using the rule of thirds. The minimalist colour & graphism are excellent. Tfs!

Namaste BR ~
This is a good concept, well presented too.
It gives the viewer a good sense of the place as well as the house that has a Victorian beauty !
By giving more space in the foreground , you have furnished more of the details of the snowy mood in frame. Maybe one or two objects ( human or other ) positioned in the left foreground( maybe with RED color objects ) , could have added more delight. Those are just my thoughts, dear friend. Thank you for sharing.
Have a great day.

Wonderful snowy scenery, Beverly, and you placed the house on side, to show the hills and town with depth.
The house seems to be plain - but the half-round glassed entrance, gave it a unique look.
Cold yet beautiful.
Good evening,

Hi Beverley.
A lovely composition with the full force of winter, the image conveys a sense of silence and stillness, which is what we should have at this early hour in the morning, the house has a privileged location as it pertains hilltop with a nice perspective.
You managed the light very well, getting good clarity despite the adverse meteorological conditions.
Have a pleasant afternoon.
Best wishes.
Luis.

Hi Bev,
You've chosen a fine winter composition, using the snow in the FG as a fetching lead in. And the spatial combination of the undulating landscape an the houses is very pleasing to the eye too.
And having high tea in that conservatory must be lovely :-)
Best regards from Rotterdam,
Bert

Hi Bev
Oh what a view, yes I can understand why these people would want to build a conservatory. I marvel at these structures, they'd be completely unusable in the Australian summer, GAWD! But I can imagine they'd be lovely in England. That blanket of snow is wonderful and I like how you've positioned the house on the right hand side of the frame.
Thanks for sharing, have a beautiful day

Hi Beverley
