Photographer's Note

I miss my Wednesdays!

One of the pleasures of being retired is that you can, within reason, spend your last few twilight years in this wonderful World doing pretty much what you want. And, for the last six years or so, one of my greatest pleasures was to go on country walks each Wednesday with a small group of equally ancient friends. Or I did until that most inconsiderate Covid-19 reared its ugly little head and we were all forbidden to leave our homes or meet up with others.

So as I have now little opportunity to explore and take photos, I thought I might, from time to time, upload some shots from one or two the little walks we have done in central Scotland over the years. And I can assure you all of these will most definitely be in the category of "nothing special"!

So here are a couple of photographs from late autumn 2018, about to set off on a cool and misty morning for a six or seven mile walk through the hills near the village of Coulter - you can see the location of the main photo at these co-ordinates: 55.581997, -3.533037 or click on Map: view and follow the little yellow man.

ISO 100, 1/1000 sec at f/5.6, focal length 32mm.

I'll add a couple more shots from this walk in the workshop.
