Taken just before my previous post "The Wall" , this picture shows a little more of the dam holding back the reservoir and the man in red moving towards it accompanied by others.

I thought I'd add for those who are interested that this is Howden dam, holding back Derwent reservoir. This is the site where the RAF dambusters practiced there low flying technique in 1943 in preparation for dropping the bouncing bomb in the war.

Hello JAmes ,
Lokking at this picture and your previous one "The Wall", i could make this remark : if all the dams were built in stones , like that , and not with concrete ... Even the tower looks like an old castle ! This is alson an excellent composition , with a good diagonal for the eyes , from the walkers towards the tower .
Even this is a fine sunny day , we hae here th wineter tonalities . It must be beautiful with spring or autumn tonalities .

A fine view, much more open view, of your previously posted dam wall.

Pleased to see a spot of red, de rigeur for a top shot !, though I bet you cursed him stepping behind the white coat !

A good POV, giving lots of interest, the people make the shot come alive, and the info in your note welcome.

I notice the RH section is a spill wall, or at least I think so, it would be good to visit again about now, I bet its spectacular in flood !

I read you are aiming to improve your focus/sharpness, this is much more 'accurate' than the dam wall post. What was different ? ( what PP facility do you use, you have blocked more info so I cannot see... )
