Photographer's Note
The Radcliffe Camera is a building of Oxford University, designed by James Gibbs in neo-classical style and built in 1737–1749.
The photo was taken from the Tower of University Church of St. Mary the Virgin.
It is worth the climb of 124 steps to make it to the top to enjoy fine uninterrupted views in all directions across Oxford.

Hello Agnes,
A building immediately recognisable from its shape; I have a similar shot taken very many years ago on slide film and from the very same spot. A superb capture with fine symmetrical framing and excellent colours and clarity. The dramatic sky makes a wonderful backcloth.

Bonjour Agnes,
Un cadrage classique mais aussi tres efficace. La symetrie est parfaite. J aime la texture de l image ainsi que le rendu des tres beaux details. Le ciel offre un contraste parfait.

Hello Agnes,
We cannot guarantee the beautiful blue skies that are often evident in continental shots yet, with relatively poor light, you have captured the details and the textures of this circular building with excellent clarity.
The near symmetrical composition works well and, from your elevated vantage point, you have created a good sense of depth.
My warm regards,
Bev :-)

Hello Agnes,
Good centered composition of this historic building. You have taken a sharp clear image showing excellent details of the marvellous architecture. The rich tones of the stonework contrast well with the moody grey sky. It was really worth climbing all those steps !
Best regards,

Hello Agnes,
You looked for a fantastic high point of view to present us the wonderful architecture of this well-know historic town.
There is something on this picture that gives it a dramatic touch and it is not only the sky.
Excellent sharpness and beautiful textures of the wall of the Radcliffe Camera.
Best regards, Paul

Hello Agnes,
One of the most inspiring views in my experience (I spent many hours in the Radcliffe Camera). Perched high on the steeple of St. Mary's you have a view of Brasenose College on the left and All Souls on the right, and te dome of the Sheldonian with the white tower capped with a green copper cupola in the rear left. I love this view. The overcast sky makes it possible to depict the cylindrical building with so much more detail than if you had bright sunlight, creating stark shadows.
Warm regards,
Bulent

Good afternoon Agnes,
A perfect perspective over the monumental dome of Oxford, taken good scenery from the street level and to its top, all in fine clarity and depth over the town roof-tops.
Have a nce weekend,

Hi Agnes,
ha ha!
If you click on photos from Oxford you will see that I have about a year ago submitted quite a similar photo :) (CLICK HERE to see it) I guess everyone would like to have it in the TE gallery. It is like an ultimate Oxford POV and one of the most recognizable buildings. I like your perfect symmetry, and a lovely atmosphere -probably typical Oxford weather. Sadly recently I visited Cambridge which has a analogous POV from a church tower and I have realized when it was already too late for me, and so from there I have just picture from the ground (CLICK HERE to see it).
Very well done here!
