Photographer's Note
Another for the "Adam`s Building Nottingham" theme, first the shape really is this like that in fact its worse because all the treads slope from the wall in towards the open space in the centre which makes walking up them real a syour feet keep missing step because they are not where you expect them to be, `scarey`.
Again shot with available light from the floor looking up through the centre. There are a couple more strairs to come inclueding a vanishing set that I got a pic of at the top that, but once seen cannot be found even by the security guards will have go back and try again on that one.
Adjustments to this one
Open and crop to 28.22 X 28.22cm @600dpi
saturation +8 lightness +13
brightness +6 contrast +11
Selective colour Magenta, adjust Black up a fraction. USM 130% X 3.0px radius threshold 1
save image to file for printing later , to be part of a series of spiral for disply I hope.
reduce image size to 72 pixels which equates to 800 X800 pixels wide save for web at 197.3k

This is really interesting and a fascinating companion for, and contrast to, your earlier staircase. You have captured the appealing colour gradations particularly well.

this is the third time i have been back to this picture. I like this allot for the obvious reasons. the pattern of the stairwell making and warped square. But I think that the purpleish color comming form what i think is outside ihgt at leaset helps add to the picture. YOu anw see the reflections of the light off the stairs as well . I htink trying to emphisze the stairs. humm I might try to crop it so that the very top of the picture the white part is cut out. thats about it for suggestions.

Interesting architecture. The strange light and the odd shapes are wonderful. Boof's workshop was good also.

Quite amazing. The bizarre pattern and the very modern purple color make it very appealing.

Very nice shot! ''art-chitecture'' i call.
I add a little snap (contrast)that's all.

Very engaging shot Rob. I would tend to agree with cropping of the distracting painted soffite(beam) at the top of the picture, but I like your soft colours a lot, just as they are. Well done.

What I really like from this photo, and also different than other photo like it, is the color.
There is smooth gradation of the color and at the same time there is a symetry to the color. The stair on the right is somewhat yellow and its getting lighter as it goes downward. The left side has purplish color and also getting lighter as it goes downward.
