Photographer's Note
This was taken on the same day as the spiral stairs, out side the college (Adams Building) in the Lace market district of Nottingham.
These are a series ot brass studs set in the pavement (footpath), no idea why they are there???
but it was one of those days when you try any thing to see if it works.
Like most of my shot this is hand held

open inPS7 crop with a rotation to straighten it a fraction.
saturation +9 lightness +2
brightness =3 contrast +10
Unsharpmask 133% X 2.7 px radius X threshold 1
resize to72dpi(ppi) X 800px wide, save to web @ 197.3K
Forgot to say in the rush to post last night, also had to clone out a lot of chewing gum YUK.

Interesting focal point...viewing the thumbnail made me think it represented a time exposure of the moon travelling about the earth,the dark empty space being the eclipse tonight:)....but then you mentioned in your notes it was near Lace marketplace, so could it have anything to do with directions to the fishmarket?
A simple picture that stimulates one's sense of wonderment of the unknown.Please find out the origin for us :-)

Could use some sharpening, but I really like the idea and the cropping. I have a lot of sidewalk shots myself. After your post, maybe I'll put a few up!
