Photographer's Note

As we all know no two sunsets are the same so I was amazed when this one appeared just asking to be photographed, the depth and variety of colours are just so unusual for my part of world, hope you like it.

I like the silhouetted rooftops included in your composition. There is such a depth in the image due to the almost 3D blanket of cloud. Fantastic colours.

To combine nature and urban landscape is indeed fascinating. I had a few attemps myself with a very similar POV. The sky seems to be on fire. Nice to keep the horizon with silhoutted urban structures.

this is a fabulous light show..they are appearing like this over the back of our estate..you kept the silhouettes low enough to relate to a fixed base yet not far enough into the shot to take over the third point..
will be looking for this tonight...but will have to go out over the moss to get one..

Hello Irene,

Wow, what a fabulous sky, looks like something out of a blockbusting movie like 'War of the Worlds' or similar.
We can go out looking for skies like this and of course they never appear, and then just when you forget and start taking pictures of other things, they suddenly re-appear !

Hi Irene - I don't blame you for photographing this spectacular display in any part of the world, though I would have thought, with such changeable weather as in the UK, you would be seeing interesting sunsets frequently.
