This is my third posting of scenes from the 'Cinder Track' between Whitby and Scarborough, which used to be the route of the, now dismantled, railway line. The trees have now closed in on both sides, and it hard to imagine how a train could have made its way through the woodland. It must have been a beautiful stretch of the journey. Just beyond this point the trees come to an end and the spectacular views of cliffs and sea begin - another aspect of the lovely local landscape.

It's an inviting path for a walk, surrounded by so much green, which was captured with beautiful and very natural tones! Very good light and depth! Wonderful composition! Well done!

Hello Maggie,

Thank you very much for your Workshop to my picture from Ohrid. :). It is really interesting that this was the railroad. Good place for a nice walk through the fores. Lovely composition, nice tones of green.

The railway traveller's loss is the walker's gain. Looks a delightful place for a relaxing stroll under the shade of the trees. Excellent capture on your part demonstrating good light management. Agreeable natural tones and excellent sharpness.

Hi Maggie,it seems to be in the forest of my village where i go looking for butterflies to photograph. A very pleasant walk there,a green tunnel fresh and rich of trees,in effect it's hard to imagine the time when the train pass there....but the things changed and the nature come back soon.
