A good photo of this beefeater in his traditional uniform with bright red details. The sunlight was appealing as well.

Hi Pierre.
I love these vintage photos originally exposed to film. They take me back to an age when photography was still an expensive pastime, and one repeatedly thought about what to “shoot” with the expensive film.

And it also shows that scanning from either paper or film is a difficult task.

It is said that if the ravens disappear from the Tower, the kingdom will disappear, and so will the palace guards.

40 years have passed and there is still a queen and palace guards, - they say ravens too :-)

Une arme ne fait apparemment pas partie de l'йquipement.

A good capture of the royal guard in London. Excellent sharpness and well framed and composed. The Yeoman Warder / Beefeater looks smart in uniform. Tfs!
