Photographer's Note

Fishing boat, with its lobster cargo entering to Porthleven's harbour before a big storm.
Since many centuries, more than 1.500 ships wrecks lie under sea between the Lizard Point and Lands End.
A great quantity of gold coins is hidden in these depths.

Si j'en crois votre commentaire, la fortune appartient donc а ceux qui plongent tфt ;-)
Belle composition de l'image. Le bateau est placй sur un point fort et sa couleur rouge vif rйhausse l'ensemble de la vue. Le ciel trиs chargй contraste bien avec la mer et le petit bout de cфte, а droite, donne un peu de relief.
Et le FH50 vogue enfin dans le bon sens ;-)))

The red colour of the ship accentuate even the feeling that it is a foreign, not belonging element there.
The size of the wave, the colour of the see and sky let me well imagine the undersee "landscape"...
Apropos gold - recently read about a story of a wracked steamer called "Central America" - 21(twentyone!)tones of gold were taken from...

Quand les йlйments se dйchaоnent, le petit bateau n'est plus qu'une simple coque de noix ballottйe par les flots. Trиs belle prise de vue.

Une photo qui a maintenant un petit cфtй rйtro... C'est vrai qu'on s'habitue au numйrique. Une composition bien rйussie, oщ le bateau, placй sur l'un des points forts de l'image ressort encore plus du fait qu'il soit le seul йlйment vivement colorй de l'image! Un classique qui fonctionne trиs bien ici, trиs beau clichй.

Excellent phoot. Very natural and beautiful. I generally like photos in which the object is small and red, and it works great here too. Between the slighly agitated sea and the misty atmosphere there's some excitement in this photo as well.

Les dйtails sont jolis et le cadrage est super avec une bonne place de l'embarcation sur l'image.
La prйsentation 1/3 de la photo est bonne
L'effet tempкte est perceptible avec ces nuages chargйs.

I do agree. Technically, the picture works very well with a strong subject with an attracting color set at the perfect place. I especially like the look of the sea with a mix of dark colors and reflections.

Nice photo with a great contrast of colors! I like the small funny boat among such agressive environment. I would only crop a bit of the bottom and add a bit more sharpenning.

This has excellent composition. Taken just to the right of the bright light and capturing the dark of the far right with the beautiful red boat in the left middle - excellent. Can feel it wil get home just in time. However, is the picture slightly out of focus?

belle composition maritime Said avec un ptit contre jour presque ; le rouge du bateau appporte toute la dynamique sur cette mer hвchйe. j'ai naviguй а cet endroit avec le Grand Lйjon, vent de bout pour tenter d'aller aux Scilly mais nous avons dы rebrousser chemin et aller sur Penzance et Newline, puis Falmouth. Bref, un endroit pas de tout repos. Si mes souvenirs sont bons, c'est par ici que plusieurs chalutiers bretons ont sombrйs йgalement (Bugaled breizh...)

Trиs bon contraste entre un bateau rouge et un ciel et une mer gris(e). Le bateau est bien situй suivvant la rиgle des tiers. Les embruns donnent une impression de mouvement.

Very nice mood and atmosphere in this photo. I like the position where the boat placed in the photo. With the waves, the position of the boat makes the picture living and the waves are "pushing" the boat in the direction of the shore. I like it a lot.

Bonjour Didi,
SYmpa cette photo avec ce petit bateau dans la tempete. J'ai une histoire a propos de cette endroit. En fait c'est le meilleur endroit pour surfer en Angleterre, et d'ailleurs les 3 petits points a cote du mat ca doit etre des surfers avec une vague qui leve au peak juste derriere. En fait cette vague est "artificielle" parce que le fond a ete dynamite il y a ue centaine d'annees je crois pour faire un chenal plus large pour les bateaux ( comme tu l'as note, ils echouaient tous...).
Et ce nouveau fond est parfait pour former des bonnes pour surfer!!!
Voila pour la petite histoire!

Hello Didi,

Okay, the sharpness could been better, pherhaps
something was happen with the upload or scan,
but the picture has a nice strong appearance
and that has not every picture. I like rough
sea and the wide open spaces, that makes the
picture nice open and exciting.

This fishing poor boat looks alone in the stormy sea, it seem s like a dramatic scene.
