Photographer's Note
I’m voting for the next UN resolution to stop the roasted duck and kebab invasion of our European cities. It is becoming impossible to find a truly good quality Chinese or Turkish restaurant in the neighbourhood. Have an excellent address for a delicious Shawarma in Geneva though….

Nice details, Gal. You have all your roasted ducks in a row, as it were. Funny, but the crispy ducks hanging there resemble the Chinese characters a bit. Bon appetit. -Hugh

Don't complain, Gal!
At least your Chinese windows are garnished
with Chinese leaf and pak choi (from what I
can see here), whereas over here something like
this can only be seen in big cities - elsewhere
it's just a modest window, usually not decorated
at all, but with a lovely food inside.
I myself am not fond of exposing rows of dead-roast
poultry hanging from hooks in windows - or should
we take this as a challenge to hang up a few Wiener
schnitzels and maybe even some nice pots full of
goulash to advertise our European restaurants... what
about a lobster or two crawling on the windowside?
;-D
Interesting non-everyday composition and a lovely b/w
conversion!

Nice sophisticated compo, Gal - I have only one suggestion: I realy think color is important here, what with the lettering and the golden brown of the ducks themselves. The BW treatment although "elegant" simply leaves to much succulence and relief out of the frame.

Hey Gal,
Some good reflections here as they pass the chickens, reminds me a lot of a recent image that RandomCameraGuy uploaded, with the chickens surrounding the public.
I think I ate a record amount of Bratwursts during my time in Switzerland, although I didnt come across many in in Geneva.

Hi Gal,
I think the UN already has a stack of resolutions a mile high that still need to be discussed ;-). But I'm supporting you in your fight for good 'bebek'. Too many poorly prepared roasted ducks, even in Indonesia!
Where is this world coming to?! ;-)

I'm trying to find that "Gal thing" in this photo...searching, searching...and no no no, I can't find it. Maybe it's more like a message photo or a metaphor of something, whatever it is, I can't find Gal in it.
Do u find yourself in it?

So there's an invasion eh? Well, at least it's a delicious one, it could have been worse, it could have been hotdog stands. And man, do I hate hotdogs and their damned stands!
I'm a fan of reflections Gal, so I guess I'm a fan of this! the comp is strong (of course), but I do thnk yhe DoF is a bit too shallow. I'd like to see a bit more detail in the reflection.
