Photographer's Note
This is somewhere in Marktgasse or Kramgasse, can’t really tell anymore. Even though I know the image of Switzerland all around the world is more related to white mountain summits, I must tell you that there is an extraordinary urban atmosphere to be found in some places, among which Bern is a good example.
This was a grey and cold afternoon, where the tungsten lights of the stores under the typical arches of the city created a weary and surreal atmosphere filtering through the fog. And there I saw her, rushing God knows where to, carrying her handbags like trophies. Shopping will end up being considered an Olympic sport. Just a question of time. And I know of some very well positioned fellows who’ll be on the first line for the gold medals (all the photo’g gearheads, for instance… ;o))

Nice strong streak of red and anice sense of motion in both the tram and the woman.

Salut Gal,
Bien vu!

Hello Gal,
I like the overall un-sharpness & softfeeling which suits your note very much & I can feel the sense of motion very well. perhaps I'd prefer the floor at least to stay sharp but that doesn't matter too much. Colors r great.

Salut Gal

J'y retourne jeudi soir :)
Bonne utilisation de cette pose passablement lente.

Hi Gal
Great capture here. The lady in a rush looks quite classy, not the type to get on a tram. What's funny is that I get the impression that the tram is moving in the opposite direction but I guess it's not so. I like the vivid red that stands out against the grey of the winter and the coat.
Have a good day.

Good piece of street work here, I like the way that the whole thing has movement in it, adding to the mood of urban rush.

having just returned from hong kong i know exactly what you mean. (although my stereotype switzerland image on the positive side is more about faboulous cholocates (i was 10 when i first visited :-)..) and about the anonymous bank accounts (on the negative side..)..)
please don't get me wrong but i would have expected something stronger from you on this issue visually, perhaps a clearer reflection of the mentioned commercialism in the streetcar windows, or a corporate logo on the shopping bag of the woman... (as usual, i'm sorry but i'm not sure) but i don't think it's one of your best shots..

Do trio esta parece-me a menos bem conseguida.
Ups... faltou-me os smileys!!! :-))
