Facebook or Instagram?, a photo from Sodermanland, Svealand

Photographer's Note

Just another snapshot I couldn't resist. I stopped for a couple of seconds to see if she would notice me and maybe get angry, but she seemed too busy with documenting her upcoming meal so I took my own photo and left before she knew what happened.

I suppose she was going to post her photos on social media before I had even reached the end of the block. As usual this is somewhere on Sцdermalm island in Stockholm.

This is an environmental portrait. Photographing people in their work environment. The photo has another conundrum (whether the person is female or male). It looks like a woman. Clarity and lighting are well done, as always.

I like this, a photographer taking a picture of a photographer who is indeed completely absorbed by her image. Her subject also looks very appetising and adds a good splash of colour.

A good daily life scene of the woman capturing the very temporary meal for posterity. A soft diffused light with good sharpness. I wonder why there are 3 full glasses, a partly consumed cup of coffee, (or tea) and only 1 person? Perhaps they were ordering desert? Tfs!

a funny moment well registered by you. nowadays , even in a small town as mine, it is usual to see the people taking images of their products to show on internet. from this angle the meal doesn't look so special for me, only salads and vegetable juices.

Hello Gert, a fascination for sharing a shot of a plate of food that seems to be a favourite pastime these days; even my son takes shots of his meal, especially if we are eating at a good restaurant.
It's an excellent observation.
I like that she was so pre-occupied that she didn't see you there with your camera!

As you promised in your reply to one of my critiques, it is even more absurd than your previous photo. The whole phenomenon of documenting and posting food on social media is absurd. I used to ask from myself wether they document the outcome as well? :)

Hello Gert,
There are many pictures that I haven't seen. The meal looks healthy, probably vegan, with many vegetables and strange green drink and another red one.
I posted some photos of the food yesterday on Facebook and people were very interested in them. But it was just the food on stalls, not the one I took. Maybe I show here too somewhen.
