Photographer's Note

One more impression from Playa del Papagayo.

In the past when I shared photos from my holidays, I tried to show one picture from each place and no more. These days because I became more active on TrekEarth I try to make a better advantage of each trip ha ha. So I will probably show twice as many photos from Lanzarote as from La Palma and three time more than from Tenerife.

I have mentioned that every time on holidays I try to balance the relax mainly for my daughters benefit and the sightseeing for myself. When she was on her first holidays abroad, with few months only, I planned more time to relax with one or two days only to travel around. Now I try to slowly shift the balance and indeed this time we had just two days of pure relax with five days of travel and adventure.

Having seen this ruined doorway on top of a hill overlooking the coast, I felt like I really have to take a picture of it, but even with a wide-angle lens it was hard to include everything around. On the right side you can see the entrance to the expensive restaurant located on the top of a cliff overlooking a beach, which I mentioned before. In the left bottom corner, you see a tiny fragment of Playa del Papagayo. Far left on the horizon you can see Fuerteventura. This is as close as you can get to any other Canary Island on Lanzarote.
