Photographer's Note
Time to post some fun shots, and of course i'm going to include architecture.
This is a building I had been wanting to photograph for years. I've seen it posted on TE years ago and always put it in the back of my mind, that perhaps one day i'll get to see it in person.
It was so much fun experimenting shooting it with my ultra wide angle lens, to get as much of the building in the frame as possible.
Perhaps in my next post I'll show the building in its true form, but for now lets have fun with people passing by and just focusing on the exterior glass.
There are so many lines, horizontal and criss cross, that it's really hard to get the lines to all 'line' up properly. And I had to have the biker along the bottom being level, so that was the most important part. I hope you like it.
In the WS are 2 more views, with WS #2 being my favourite of the three photos.

Hello Craig
A fun shot indeed with a detailed view of the background architecture. The lone cyclist makes the shot that much more meaningful. Thanks for sharing and have a great weekend!

Bonjour, cher Craig,

Hi Craig
The cyclist appears to be very small. Well taken. Your favourite is interesting for the gentle lens distortion from the wide angle lens - they are hard to use pointing upwards.
cheers

Hi Craig,
Interesting modern architecture with these lines for the facade and excellent effect with this lonely and tiny biker, well seen and taken at the good time, tfs.

Hello Craig, Interesting facade. I do not remember it. It looks very cool, especially with the biker for the scale.
Kind regards Malgo

Hello Craig,
This is one, mighty interesting building!
I can imagine your gasps of delight when you saw it!
The minute size of the cyclist really expands the size and the magnitude of the building, in our imagination.
My favourite is the w/s, including the figures. The two men appear to be involved in a modern, creative dance based on the use of mobile phones! 😂
Have a good day,
Bev :-)

Hello Craig,
You had fun again with your fish-eye. It's obvious that a building like this, with all those lines criss-crossing over the façade, offers good photo opportunities. I think the main photo was a fair choice, as we get a good view of the architecture and an easily recognizable person to provide scale and life. Your favourite WS is the one I appreciate the least. It shows so much that everything gets far away and the jogger is easily overloooked. The other WS shows many persons but it brings the building rather too close for an optimal effect of the architecture.
Best regards,
Gert

Hello Craig,
The building looks amazing, I really like the modern architecture with its many diagonal lines running in all directions without seeming to form a particular pattern. The cyclist was well caught in front of it, too.

Excellent composition, Craig. The building looks so big above the rider, almost like a threat. I wonder if it could work also (or maybe better) in b/w.

Hello Craig, it is a most unusual building and I can see why you would remember it.
The lines outside of the glass seem quite randomly arranged, which adds to the composition of all three shots.
The single person cycling by was worth the wait.
I think that I like this one the best.
Thanks for sharing, regards Jean.

Hello Craig
I am always surprised when I see your love for modern architecture and compare it with your horror for modern art. The way in which you experiment with your wide-angle lens and use lines in your composition is of course also just modern art. Only here you don't have to think about what it represents, but the main photo can certainly could be a modern painting exhibit in a museum.
Excellent presentation
Have a good week, groet Rob

Hello Craig,
That is one funky-looking facade! There is so much going on, and you could definitely play around, orienting the building in different ways to make certain lines appear more vertical. If you did that though, the cyclist would slide off of the tilted frame. Ha ha! Those red dots in the center are interesting, too. Do you know who designed this building or what its name is?

Hello, Craig!
Great graphical effect in this photo, given by the interesting architectural details of the building! The presence of the cyclist is a great scale to the view, besides giving life to it! Very nice composition! Beautiful job!

Hi Craig,
Great, geometrical photo of this huge glass building.
Stunning contrast between the "little" biker and high structure. I wonder what the red dots are on the glass ?
TFS and kind regards.

Good inclusion of the window cleaner in the top right hand corner and the cyclist in the bottom left. Excellent sharpness and nice repetition of shapes and patterns. Tfs!

Hello Craig,
I cannot remember seeing this building before on this site.
Difficult to tell which of the three photos I like the most. They all include wonderfully passers-by or cyclists in front of the spectacular construction.
Very attractive composition with the many diagonal lines on the facade.
Best regards, Paul

Hello Craig Since doing arts is a perfect way to spirit up people's brain, I see a black ant shambling on the soil through tall blades of grass! Quite an hypnotic view from your quest for originality! Cheers

Hi Craig,
very unique building indeed. Nice series of photos.
The biker adds a nice touch here, probably better than people walking by.
If I so this building I would first think about you and that you may like it...
Great reportage,
