One of Gaudн's unique tiles in Parc Gьell

Up the main staircase with the dragon fountain, symbol of alchemy and the fire is the pillared hall. This room, also known as Room 100 columns, although only 86 have been completed, is located in the central park. Originally, Gaudi had designed to accommodate a market.
Doric columns support the roof of the lower court which forms the central terrace, with serpentine seating round its edge.

I am attracted to the circles and curves rather than the traditional rectangles. Gaudi's art certainly something to aspire to.

I think everything that Gaudi designed was huge what comes to work needed to accomplish the ideas. No wonder a lot of it is unfinished. But what is ready made is unbelievably on richness of details.
Well framed detail shot showing forms, tiny pieces of mosaic and bright colours.

It is always a pleasure to see a place I already know, but an unusual detail that I don't know. I've visited the Gaudi Cathedral a couple of times, and indeed 20 years apart. Your note puts into context this colorful corner of the great edifice.
