Photographer's Note

Hidden among the trees, there is one of the most magical corners of the garden, it is the Los Chinescos pond, a beautiful artificial lake inside which there are two buildings that together give this place its charm.

One of them is a neo-gothic style wooden gazebo with an octagonal shape and finished in a pinnacle with a ball. The other building is right in front of it, and it is a temple formed by ten Ionic columns of green-black marble with capitals and white marble bases finished in a dome, this construction being the work of Juan de Villanueva, the interior of the The vault is decorated with flowers and birds by the painter Zacarias Gonzalez Velazquez.

The pond is inhabited by ducks, mallards and peacocks that walk along its banks.

Escondido entre la arboleda, se encuentra uno de los rincones mas mбgicos del jardin, se trata del estanque de los Chinescos, un precioso lago artificial en cuyo interior se hayan dos edificaciones que en conjunto le confieren el encanto a este lugarґ

Una de ellas es un cenador de madera de estilo neo-gуtico con forma octogonal y terminado en un pinaculo con una bola. La otra edificacion se haya justo enfrente de esta, y se trata de un templete formado por diez columnas jуnicas de marmol verdi-negro con capiteles y basas de marmol blanco terminado en cupula, siendo esta construccion obra de Juan de Villanueva, el interior de la boveda esta decorado con flores y pajaros obra del pintor Zacarias Gonzalez Velazquez.

El estanque esta habitado por patos, бnades y pavos reales que pasean por sus orillas.

Buenas dias Luis,
Beautiful pavillion and pond around it with a water-jet.
Oicture has good light that brought a mild reflection, yet a bit too saturated.
Overall a charming spot in the park.

Bien cadrй avec ce joli pavillon au bord de l'eau, intйressante photo ancienne, le rendu des teintes est peut-кtre un peu accentuй avec un vert qui tire un peu vers le bleu, belle luminositй, tfs.

Hola Luis,

This does look like a secret garden, the sort of place that we have all imagined as children!
We get an excellent view of the octagonal gazebo, with its geometric patterns and ball pinnacle. It holds the f/g imperiously, surrounded by green hues, from the trees and from the lake.
There is a fine sense of depth to to the spouting fountain, whose reflection links nicely with the gazebo.

Did you manage to photograph the temple?
Maybe that will be the subject of your next photograph.

Hola Luis,
there seem to be countless beautiful spots around this palace. Such a very photogenic place.
This little pavilion adds a lot of charm here. The vegetation is so abundant and so lush around there.
I must really place on my list!!

Hello Luis,
Your photos of the gardens of Aranjuez always show a calm scenery.
Also here at the pavilion that can be entered.
The pavilion appears to be built on a small island or peninsula in the pond.
Different colours in the foliage provide a beautiful background.
