Photographer's Note
Betanzos has one of the best preserved historic centers in Galicia, full of churches, charming squares and traditional architecture.
Betanzos can boast of being one of the towns with the most history in A Coruña. And it is that Betanzos de los Caballeros was one of the seven provincial capitals of the Kingdom of Galicia. The medieval nobility built their houses here so that today they can enjoy their legacy and the elegant streets of a town full of unique buildings.
Betanzos has its origins in the 13th century, when Alfonso IX granted the title of town to Betanzos. In the 15th century, Enrique IV granted the town the title of city and years later it was the Catholic Monarchs who named Betanzos de los Caballeros the capital of one of the seven provinces of the Kingdom of Galicia. Maybe now you're wondering, and why does he have that "gentlemen" tagline? Because the city was closely linked to the nobility and the gentlemen of the time.
If this town boasts of being one of the most beautiful towns in Galicia, it must be for a reason. And it is that its historic center is very, very cute. I was especially struck by how well cared for it is and how well its wooden balcony houses are preserved, some with arcades to shelter from the rain.
In this photo, the Plaza Hermanos García Naveira, here some of the most important monuments of the city are concentrated, here you can see some of its buildings and the fountain of Diana the Huntress, which is a replica of the Palace of Versailles that is shown in the Louvre.

Hello Luis,
The large fountain gets the central place here, but behind it we see a number of fine buildings whose age I could not possibly estimate because they're so different from the styles I am familiar with. I believe there is a mixture of old and quite new keeping to the same style, which has created a harmonious image. The bright light is very well exposed and the photo is neatly composed.
Best regards,
Gert

Hola Luis,
This lovely statue of Diana is very well placed in your frame, Diana proudly positioned against the sky. It is so impressive in its height and position that the surrounding buildings, in the b/g, all take on on a very secondary role.
As always, your exposure is very good, the focal details sharp, with good, well saturated colours.
My warm regards,
Bev :-)

Hola Luis,
Beautiful presentation from the lovely unknown to me town. The fountain and the houses behind are so elegant. Quite an original design of the houses as well. It was a wonderful weather day with blue sky and everything else so well lit and eye catching.
Excellent quality presentation.
Thank you for your note about the colors, sometimes I think I know something but then I am surprised again.
