Photographer's Note

Night view of the courtyard of the Palau del Lloctinent (Lieutenant's Palace) in the Plaza del Rey. It was the Archive of the Crown of Aragon.

This palace (1549-1557) was the residence of the lieutenants or viceroys. Its three sides are sober and simple. Them dominates the late Gothic style with Renaissance elements, typical example of the architecture of XVI century. Highlights the beautiful patio with Italian influences, with ornate staircase and covered by an exceptional carved wooden ceiling.
