Another interior view of Segovia Gothic Cathedral.

Some words taken from Wikipedia:

The massive cathedral was built between 1525-1577 in a late Gothic style, outdated elsewhere in Europe. The previous cathedral of Segovia had stood adjacent to the Alcazar, and had been used by the royal armies in defending the latter against siege by the rebellious Comuneros. After a bitter siege lasting months, the cathedral finally lay in ruins.

Due to fears of a repeat assault, the cathedral was relocated to the present site and built using a design by the Trasmeran mason named Juan Gil de Hontaсуn,. The work was continued by his son Rodrigo Gil de Hontaсуn.

The building's structure features three tall vaults and an ambulatory, with fine tracery windows and numerous stained glass windows. The interior is characterized by unity of style (late Gothic), except for the dome, built around 1630 by Pedro de Brizuela. The Gothic vaults are 33 meters high by 50 meters wide and 105 long. The bell tower reaches almost 90 meters.

Hello Stephen,

Your interior photograph certainly reveals the tall, Gothic design in all its splendour.
I love the pale colours of the stone, most serene, and the way that the colours, from the stained glass windows, affect them with warm hues.
You really have projected the immense height and elevated character of this beautiful cathedral.

Hello Stephen,
You captured well the very spacious impression made by this late Gothic cathedral. We see from many details how the architect was influenced by Renaissance ideas but still stuck in an older style. You cropped the photo well and handled the light very nicely.

Hello Stephen,

Another fine photograph from the interior of this spectacular cathedral, this time concentrating on the architecture and, in particular, the vaulting of just one part.

You have coped with the light superbly well here such that we see full details in the deepest shadows as well as in the brightest parts - a difficult feat in circumstances such as this. Your composition too is pleasing and the details and sharpness are excellent.
