Caсadas of Teide, a photo from Tenerife, Canarias

Photographer's Note

We were in the Natural Park of the caсadas of the Teide, whose altitude is of 3,718 meters on the level of the sea. This volcano is of the estromboliano type, and its last eruption dates from 1798, is surrounded by an overwhelming geologic landscape of formation, forming the Caсadas of he himself name. This taking is made in the called place Roques de Garcia, where we can observe the Roque Cinchado (it appeared in 1000 bills of the old pesetas, among others). They are different “escupidas” rocks of great size by the volcano in its eruptions, that have been able to stay still on with their original forms due to the different resistance from the erosion of the materials that compose them. The Roques finds out and the Teide is the Valley of Ucanca, and in the right slope the cableway of the Teide. We can have the luck to see it surrounded by intense a blue sky, like of beautiful clouds or, according to told our guide us, of snow within few weeks, changing totally its landscape.
I know that the photographies presented/displayed in TE of the Teide have been several, but to me it pleased me as I had left with this so precious sky of bottom, as well as I hope that like you

Hola Pilar,
esplйndido encuadre de este lugar tan bonito y tan conocido, me gusta cуmo has incluнdo en primer plano las curiosas formaciones de los Roques, mientras al fondo el majestuoso Teide se recorta sobre un cielo azul magnнfico.
Es una composiciуn muy hermosa, con una luz y unos colores excelentes.

No me canso de ver esta fotografia, efectivamente todos los que hemos pasado por alli nos sorprendemos de esta fotografia, y todos recordamos, que antes de tener euros en nuestros bolsillos teniamos pesetas, y claro, los billetes de mil pesetas que nos recuerda este paisaje.

Interesting pillar of stone in the center of the image, and a beautiful deep blue in the sky. There seems to be even a little patch of snow at the top of the mountain in the background.
