Photographer's Note
Malgo likes her tower views, so this post is for her.
She also visited this church but didn't know you could go up the tower - most people do not know. There are no signs, no advertising, you have to ask around, and luckily it worked out for us.
First off, about the photo. I know its not centered correctly in the frame - but there's a reason for that. The opening at the tower is only so wide, so you can't move around much in the opening to frame your shots as you'd like. So this is as best as I could do.
Its a beautiful view though, with all the towers. In the WS are two more photos, it was hard to chose only 2, as I have several more to show. I probably chose the wrong ones haha. Please take a look.
If you ever go back to Zaragoza, Malgo, try to find the tower elevator :)

Hello Craig,
This is a beautifully straight and normal photo. ;-) One tower we can just imagine, but there are lots of other towers to watch, and a little view of the city. I think Malgo will deeply regret she missed the opportunity to climb this tower.
Have a nice weekend,
Gert

Despite POV difficulties, managed to show the beautiful domes, towers and turrets from yet another tower, Craig.
The checkered colorful tiles with same pattern are attractive objects to look at, while on the far side we see the city which is built on a wide flat valley. Cheers for this beauty.
Wish you a nice weekend,
Ike

Hi Craig,
You have presented three fabulous photographs (almost aerial images) from the tower of this church, showing in exquisite detail the remarkable patterned roofs and the splendid dome and tower.
I empathise with you regarding your struggles at the top of the tower to achieve the ideal viewpoint and angle with your camera but, quite honestly, I see no problem in any one of these images - to me they all look perfectly and very pleasingly composed and I'm really not sure I know what you mean when you say that your main one "is not centred in the frame"!
Glorious light, true colours, perfect exposure and, as always, stunning detail and clarity.
Beautiful!
Kind Regards,
John.

Hello Craig, I am so pleased to get a closer view of the fabulous roof of the church. The views are spectacular and were well worth the climb.
All three shots help to give a good impression of the area.
I take it that you probably found the elevator?
Super sharp, excellent.
Regards Jean.

Hello Craig,
So no drone needed here, when there was an elevator! It's an amazing view of the towers and domes of the cathedral. I particularly like the green, blue and yellow patterns of the roofs tiles around the smaller towers. The sidelight was also pleasant and soft. Awesome shot!

Hello Craig, Thank you very much for the dedication and this set of three pictures. How I could miss it! I have no idea that it would be possible and I didn't ask. Stupid :(. Great view in all the pictures. In the main one, nice to see the colourful domes. Awesome picture. And you didn't need the drone here.
Have a nice Sunday

Hello Craig,
First, let me say, I see nothing wrong with the composition!
Secondly, it is an absolutely brilliant photograph of the towers of Zaragoza. The details of the patterns are amazing! Where else would you be able to capture such clear views!
At first, I thought it was a drone photograph! It was interesting to learn that it was by your own fair hand!!
Have a good Sunday,
Bev :-)

You're making Zaragoza ever more attractive, Craig. We visited Spain many times (mostly long, long ago already) but somehow we never ended up in Zaragoza. A shame, it seems (though I read that the city has changed a lot over the last three decades or so).
Cheers & thanks

Hi, Craig.
Wow ...... fantastic panoramica with the towers and domes of El Pilar, the tiles of colors look splendid, as well as the dome and the two narrow towers on the left. As background the view of the city is great.
A fantastic photo, with beautiful natural colors, very good lighting and excellent sharpness.
Well done. I love.
Enjoy the weekend.
Very best regards.
Luis.
P.S. I regret not having pictures of the interior when we arrived had already closed, the schedules are sometimes incompatible with the course of the trip.

Hello Craig,
I think the tower elevator is located at the river side of the cathedral ... Or it should have been moved recently ... But if I remember correctly, there were no clear indications on the side of the popular plaza.
This is one of the most amazing views you can have in Zaragoza.
The colourful patterns of the domes make it extra attractive.
Best regards, Paul

Hi Craig
Certainly a good viewing point that would give you the strongest feeling, the abundance of "things" on this rooftop appealed to me with some interesting shapes and colours of the architecture. Good eye to spot this with interest throughout. Excellent capture.

Hello Craig,
I like your composition pretty well, cannot find the reason why it should be centred. Beautiful colourful domes here give a playful mood to the shot.

Hi Craig,
In my opinion your choice of the main picture is right. It is a rare occasion to find yourself in the middle of a forest of towers. Coloured tile patterns look great, and quite clean! Play of sunshine and shadow looks good too.

Hi Craig,
The distance between the church and the horizon is giving depth to the composition. The point of view is showing the details of the roof and of the towers. The light is giving good rendering of the colours. Have a nice day.

Ciao Craig
un'eccellente punto di vista, basta non soffrire di vertigini, altrimenti è una tortura...
Infatti io mi accontento di vedere le tue foto da questa altezza, tutte molto belle, qui non hai avuto bisogno del drone...

Hello Craig,
It was definitely worth going up the secret tower. :-) The designs on the roof are beautiful. We would never get a chance to see them so clearly without this POV. I like the main dome, too. It's a great view from a great vantage point.
LAtraveler (71) 2019-04-03 9:47
Beautiful architecture composition. Excellent focus, and proportions with the placement of the towers. The split of city/sky with level horizon right the the level of the top of the dome is interesting too.

Hello Craig
A beautiful view indeed, and an impressive collection of towers. I really like this view and the colours and pattern of the roof. A nice view of the city in the background. The WS photo #2 shows well the beautiful surroundings of this location. Beutiful work:) Thanks.

Hello Craig Technically speaking I consider you are much critical with yourself about the framing. This picture is anyway full of 'wow', given the fabulous Hunchback-of-Notre-Dame overall view, revealing many architectural works on the campaniles dominated by the larger ones, drawing a judicious visual balance. Thanks for this visual pleasure deprived of pigeons! Cheers
