Lake Bohinj is the largest natural and permanent lake in Slovenia.
in the upper Bohinj valley. This lake is the cleanest Slovenian lake and its catchment basin is located within Triglav National Park.

At the lake there is the village of Ribcev Laz.The local church dedicated to John the Baptist stands just outside the settlement on the shore of Lake Bohinj . Its origins are Romanesque but it was rebuilt in Gothic style in the 15th century and vaulted in the early 16th century, when some of the frescos were painted by Jernej of Loka.

Your photos from Slovenia are very nice. Here we see the church from a good angle with the calm river and the old bridge in the foreground. The red and yellow canoe and the woman in the water are good eye catchers. As usual it's a very well composed photo with superb colours.

Hello Piotr,

It was worth the wait, to move down the hillside, to see this much closer view of the attractive church, closely situated to the lake. The bridge is a most interesting feature in its own right, and it is a fine link to the church.
You timed your photograph well, when the colourful canoe is strongly placed as a focal point.

Ja juz nawet przewodnik o tym kraju mam na polce wiec koniecznie musze go wykorzystac.
Kolejne urocze mniej znane miejsce.
Kosciol asymetrycznie sfotografowany poprzez tafle wody.
