Zeleznicki saobracaj.

Rail transport.

View of the steel structure of the power line and tracks, at the railway station in Cuprija.
Rail transport is a means of transporting passengers and goods by wheeled vehicles that move on rails and are located on the tracks. Unlike road transport, where vehicles move on a prepared flat surface, rail vehicles (rolling stock) are guided by the tracks on which they move. Tracks usually consist of steel rails, installed on sleepers placed on the ground, on which railway vehicles move, usually equipped with metal wheels. Other variations are possible, such as plate tracks. Here, the rails are attached to a concrete base that rests on a prepared base.
Rail electrification supplies power to a railway propulsion vehicle (locomotive or used by a motor train).
Power stations are usually powered from a high voltage network.
