Rвșnov Fortress

This is Rвșnov Fortress (Cetatea Rвșnov), which unfortunately is being renovated at the moment, but due to the fact that wooden scaffolding is used, the old building complex could still be seen clearly from the outside. The fortress was built in the early 13th century as part of a defence system for Transylvanian villages.

Hej Lars,
Med tanke pе att en balkong just hade rasat ned nдr jag kom dit, sе fцrstеr jag att det hдr slottet behцvde restaureras. Det var ju trеkigt fцr dig som fotograf med alla stдllningar, men du kom nдrmare дn jag. Den grafiska effekten av stдllningarna har nдstan blivit viktigare дn sjдlva byggnaden.

Hallo Lars,
De houten steiger is al even pittoresk en indrukwekkend als het fort zelf.
De poort was gesloten maar je kon via de steiger nog naar boven klauteren :)
Gelukkig heb je dat niet gedaan of je kon ons deze foto niet meer tonen.
Een mooi detail vind ik dat rode puntdak dat zich tegen de blauwe lucht aftekent.

A pity it was closed. Already I can see an improvement in the main entrance which was formerly crumbling. You can see what was inside through my prior posts. Tfs!

I read that this fortress
unfortunately is being renovated
at the moment....
lets hope that soon this
building will be in better situation from inside

Hello Lars, built in the 13th century, that is old! I am not surprised that it needs some renovation.
I am assuming that you were not able to go inside?
We get the impression that the fortress is in an imposing position high above the village.
The wooden scaffolding doesn’t look that strong, I hope that it provides safety for the builders.

Hi Lars,
That is just cruel, I remember you didn't see the Arch de Triumph in Paris because it was wrapped and now you have a different type of "wrapping" around this fortress.
But I see you are always trying to look at the bright side. Indeed there is something artistic in the repeated elements of the scaffolding and its shades.
The weather was great.

I have never seen a fortress with a stucco finish, there is a first time for everything, I suppose.
