Photographer's Note

Piata Sfatului и il luogo piщ conosciuto e piщ visitato nella cittа, frequentata da turisti e gente del posto come un luogo di relax e un punto d'incontro tra amici.
Nella piazza si tengono diversi eventi culturali e artistici, fiere, concerti all'aperto .
E' il punto centrale di partenza per la visita alle maggiori attrazioni della cittа.
Dal 1520, questo luogo chiamato Markplatz, и stato ospite di numerose fiere con mercanti che venivano d'oltremare.
La piazza, ricca di belle case con portici, in passato ospitava la gogna e in essa sono state processate donne accusate di stregoneria e militari accusati di reati vari.
Qui fu decapitato nel 1688 Stefan Stener, capo della gilda calzolai, che resistette all'entrata austriaca nella cittа austriaca.
Il piщ imponente edificio и il Municipio , che vi ho mostrato in una foto precedente, situato nel centro della piazza e costruito nel 1420.
Al numero 16 si trova l'edificio che fu la prima farmacia della cittа.

Piata Sfatului is the best known and most visited place in the city, frequented by tourists and locals as a place of relaxation and a meeting between friends.
In plaza held various cultural and artistic events, exhibitions, outdoor concerts . It 's the central point of departure for visiting the main attractions of the city.
Since 1520, this place called Markplatz, has been invited to numerous exhibitions with merchants who were overseas.
The square is full of beautiful houses with porches, in used to house the pillory and in it were tried women accused of witchcraft and military accused of various crimes.
Here was beheaded in 1688 Stefan Stener, guild master shoemakers, who resisted the entry of Austria in the city.
The most impressive building is the City Hall, which I showed in a previous photo, located in the center of the square and was built in 1420.
Number 16 is the building that was the first pharmacy in the city.

Hi Mauro,

Nice bright colors, beautiful sky and a good wide angle vista...with the lines in the foreground, it gives the impression that perhaps the horizon is tilted upwards towards the right, but it may be just an impression. The dof is perfect.

Hello Maurizio,
The squares of paving stones make an interesting set of lead lines as well as creating a great feeling of depth. I like the lively atmosphere and the lovely ensemble of architecture in the background. The beautiful sky brings a particular atmosphere to the scene as well as an attractive ambient light that brings out the colours of the architecture to great effect. Superb sharpness throughout.

Your POV is well chosen using the lines to lead the eye into the shot. The architecture is great and you have presented it in an attractive way. The people add life as well as a sense of scale for the shot. The lighting and colors are great and the photo has fine sharpness.

Cette photo est trиs rйussie avec la perspective bien prйsente grвce au dallage du sol. J'aime la lumiиre et les couleurs. On commence а comprendre que les voitures ne doivent pas envahir tout l'espace d'une ville.

Una splendida, ariosa piazza, dalle architetture che prediligo. E un cielo veramente magnifico. Perт...uuuhhhh....adesso mi sovvengono ricordi sgraditi. Le streghe processate, eh? E poi ovviamente mandate al rogo. Lo sai che all'improvviso avverto uno stranissimo calore che mi avvolge? Che una delle mie innumerevoli vite sia finita proprio lм? E pazienza...poi ne ho avute talmente tante altre!

Hi Maurizio,

Nice photo from the main square in Brasov. I do not know why but I was less impressed by Brasov comparing to Sibiu or Sighisoara. Maybe because of the cloudy weather I had. Here it looks great, very lively.

O my God this is not the end of the reportage yet. It seems the town has even more of the wonderful place to show. I am very much positively surprised.
Your reportage is fantastic. It really encourages me to visit Romania.
This square is so pretty: I like very much the pattern of the pavement as a foregrond. The sky so nice with the well saturated color. I like very much the pretty architecture, and even you have caught a pretty girl in mini skirt as a bonus here.
