Photographer's Note

The Palace of Culture-Palatul Culturii, next to the Prefecture, is one of the most beautiful Art Nouveau buildings, and is considered the most important building in Targu Mures. It was built between 1910-1914, again, by the architects Marcel Komor and Dezsц Jakab, being the last building they made together before the First World War and is considered their masterpiece. Large amounts of brick, reinforced concrete, granite, glazed ceramics, mosaics, wrought iron make up a spectacular building.

The Palace of Culture is interesting both for its exterior and interior architectural style. The best potters, glassmakers, painters and cabinetmakers of the time were in charge of creating the abundant and diverse decoration of the building, with multiple sources of inspiration in the style that was developing at that time in Vienna and Budapest, with a multitude of commemorative statues of life culture of the city.

El Palacio de Cultura-Palatul Culturii al lado de la Prefectura , es uno de los mбs bellos edificios de Art Nouveau considerбndose el edificio mбs importante de Targu Mures. Fue construido entre 1910-1914, nuevamente, por los arquitectos Marcel Komor y Dezsц Jakab, siendo el ъltimo edificio que realizaron juntos antes de la Primera Guerra Mundial y se considera su obra maestra. Gran cantidad ladrillo, hormigуn armado, granito, cerбmica esmaltada, mosaicos, hierro forjado conforman un edificio espectacular.

El Palacio de Cultura es interesante tanto por su estilo arquitectуnico exterior como por su interior. Los mejores alfareros, vidrieros, pintores y ebanistas del momento se encargaron de crear la decoraciуn del edificio abundante y diversa, con mъltiples fuentes de inspiraciуn en el estilo que se desarrollaba en ese momento en Viena y Budapest, con multitud de estatuas conmemorativas de la vida cultural de la ciudad.

A very nice view of this beautiful faзade, which has so many appealing colours and details. Also the reflections in the windows are very attractive. Well spotted and captured from a good angle.

This is certainly an impressive building, and the low angle underscores its magnificent style. The faзade is full of beautiful details and each level has its own style. The light was clearly in your favour, so you managed very good colours. I wonder if this was a crowded area or if you managed to get also a wider view from another point.

Hola Luis,
very attractive architecture.
Nice idea to take it from this perspective. It makes the facade feel very high.
The sky was blue as we see in the reflection. The reflection was an extra bonus for sure.
The facade is in the shade but the great design and colors make it quite eye catching.

Even without the reflection upon the windows, this facade has good details as attraction to photography.

A well featured facade: If we are going to have converging verticals then we might as well look as if we mean it - Looking Up! standing just a couple of feet in front, craning backwards and upwards to make the shot. Lovely grab

Art Nouveau is one of my favourite art styles.
