A view of Sibiu Square from the clocktower of the old city hall building. Shot through glass. Piața Mare (Great Square or Plaza) is in the centre of the old town. It is lined with colourful mediaeval and Baroque era buildings.

Hello Chris,
I imagine myself down there in the square, perhaps the finest in all of Romania, but I didn't see it from this angle. But I have fun taking photos at ground level. You had a good light that created fine shadows from the persons and trees. The roofs look great in this light too.

Hello Chris,
I will be posting some photos from Sibiu as well soon, even though not from this viewpoint, as I didn't climb any towers there. I do recognise the chequered square though. Very nice and well balanced shot of the square and the houses. The people are a nice detail as well along with their long shadows.

Nice view from a high POV over the square, Chris, long shadows of the people added good sense of depth to the picture which by itself has fine outlines.

I see so many wonderful photos from Romania recently also in your gallery, it is really encouraging to visit this country someday.
Fantastic perspective, the pattern in the pavement is so well pronounced and also decorated with people's silhouettes and their diagonal shades.

Hi Chris,

This is a great vantage point for looking down on the square. We get to appreciate the size of the square and the patterns on the ground. The long shadows help make this an attractive photo.

lovely view. I would like to cut off the upper part of the image, my personal opinion. special dialogue between the roof in tiles and the patterns and personages in the square. TFS.
