Corvin Castle Turret, a photo from Hunedoara, West

Photographer's Note

One of the Hunedoara Castles' large turrets. The statue atop the spire is not really visible in wide angled views. It's also known as the Corvin Castle. It was built between the 14th & 15th centuries. Additions were made in the 17th century and the castle rebuilt in the 19th century after a disastrous fire and many decades of neglect. It is a Gothic-Renaissance Style building. More info here:

Hello Chris,
This is a very sharp and clear photo of the characteristic tower covered with tiles and the statue at the top. From this POV we also get a fine view of the city. Colours and light are superb.

Hello Chris,

It's almost a privilege to see this this tower and statue, so sharply, for we would certainly not see anything like it from the street view! It really is an excellent shot, where each hexagonal tile is visible in an excellent light!
The view of the town emphasises our elevated position, and your fine composition.

Hello Chris, an excellent view of the tower and the city beyond. From the high viewpoint we can see for miles and miles.
It is a very fine tower, the tiles would appear to be hexagons.

A very remarkable tower with very special tiles on its roof.
They have different reddish and orange tones.
You found a good point of view on a higher location so you were able to present us a photo taken from closer by.
