I love those old faces... I also like the way you composed it. Not easy to do. Very nice shot Janos.

I like this shot very much. Excellent subject and atmosphere. Works very well in B&W.
I just wanted to try a different version – so I made/posted a WS...

Janos, it's a very very good and intersting portrait. Olli did a GREAT job we should all learn from, but still, remember that you made major act - shooting. I like it.

A very eloquent and compelling portrait, János, appropriately shown in b&w with a very good use of light and shadow. As far as your point on the note, I'd probably copy the better one from an earlier posting, trying to put the effort already spent to a good use (that's the project manager in me talking, I notice). Olli's WS is a genuine eye-opener, showing what great material this shot is actually to work with.

Excellent portrait Janos. Your presentation resembles the typical result (high contrast) of using "hard" paper when printing. The "harder" the paper, the smaller the amount of greyshades, the higher the contrast...
Brilliant work, very well done!

This picture is priceless. The emotion is very powerful and the BW makes the shot more compelling. A tighter crop on he left (IMHO) might make us focus on the subject more. Anyway, great shot!

Looked really harsh condition, well shot. The shades and light on her expression are effective. And the drizzling perhaps !

This is not only a portrait of the outside but we can almost see inside this woman and what we see is not necessarely all fun and happiness. Well done Janos. Olli's WS really emphasized the feeling.

Very interesting portrait and person. I agree with the WS made by Olli. sad for the scratch and noise. Well seen anyway.

How did I miss this one, Janos? A powerfully expressive face! A touch on the soft side, but it's probably a detail from a larger picture, right? You might try playing with the contrast or burning in the bright spots on her lips. The pencil light around her head is good. I love it.

A wonderful candid portrait. Great expression on a face that has seen so much over the years. Very nicely composed.

This is a really good shot Janos, perfect timing. the story of her hard life is read from the face.

foarte buna poza.. nu conteaza ca s-a degradat negativul in timp. ii da un aer antic..
