Photographer's Note

Catherine's Gate is the best preserved access gate to the walled city.
It was erected in 1559 at the expense of Magistrate Johannes Beckner.
It was the main gate of the medieval walled city providing access from the Schei Quarter and playng the role of a "corner bastion"
