Photographer's Note
Having the ambition to go from one end of Algarve to another, I had to drive to its westernmost point, Cabo de São Vicente. That was one of “the Ends of the World” in the past. I made several stops on my approach to the final viewpoint and they were all worth it. Each offered either a strong orange color or interesting shapes of the cliffs or some impressive structures built on top of them.
I have managed to find the coordinates of this exact spot. For a while now I give the coordinates of the point of view at the bottom of the note in addition to setting up the map in the panel below the photo as well.
I had quite harsh light on this part of the journey, so I was tempted to enhance photo with pseudo HDR but I didn’t. The contrasts we slightly too strong here but I wanted to preserve the natural orange color of the rocks.

Hello Mariusz, the strong contrast between the dark blue sea and the orange coloured rocks is really striking. A good composition with the rocks dominating the scene.
I wonder what gives the rocks this particular colour?
Thanks for sharing.
Kind regards, Jean.

Hello Mariusz,
Fantastic picture of the cliff and ocean, dark in contrast with great colors cast.
Work of winds and waves for millions of years upon the coast.
Far beyond we can clearly see the extended rocky shors to the north. Fine outcome, cheers.
Good evening,
Ike

Hello Mariusz,
For me the cape near Sagres was the most amazing part of the Algarve.
Somewhere in my memory I remember that there were two capes...but I'm not sure.
Actually, in this photo I think we see two capes.
I hiked to the very end and it was extremely windy.
I also looked for places to wander down to sea level but found none.
Very strange was that I was there in late July or early August and as soon as the sun went down it got really cold. This was mainly due to the wind blowing from the ocean.
In later years I asked others who went to Sagres how the weather was and they did not remember that nighttime cold.
How was it when you were there?
Best regards, Paul

Hello Mariusz,
A great title but that is how it is advertised!
The orange rock looks so vibrant, almost defiant so as not to tumble into the sea!
Lots of lovely rough textures in the f/g.
A very well composed photograph.
My warm regards,
Bev :-)
Did you photograph the huge compass on the ground?
